Everyday (Blahgging) is a Battle
In a completely unanticipated turn of events, the parents finally found the motivation to travel cross-country for a visit. They stayed for nearly a week and, in sum, if the visit had been just 24 hours shorter, it would have been perfect.
In other events, I forgot to leave my house for three days (today is the third). Normally, this would be no particular cause for concern; that is, if I lived above ground. Today it is my full intention to leave the house, twice even. But the problem has gone on too long, and I am no longer able to interact with people from the “outside.”
In a classic case of super-souls throwing a bone, Vince and I were discovered by a neighbor kitty, a sturdy, healthy-looking black cat shaped like a bowling ball. She visits regularly to sooth the insanity, like a kitty-muse. We are both thoroughly enamored; it’s like skipping to grandparent status and missing all the thankless work. Thank you, super souls!
As a teacher, I understand that repetition is a basic building block of learning. Without repetition, a learner has little to build on. I am a slow learner when it comes to conquering depression. Nevertheless, in spite of The Malaise (general mindlessness), there's indeed plenty to be happy about, and that brings us to this week's theme:
Happiness is a choice. Attitude is a choice. (repeat ten times daily if you want to have a chance in this lifetime)
ciao,
LMA
