Wilkommen in Deutschland: Life Part III
I've had more than two weeks here in Baden Wuerttemberg to adjust to my new reality now and I must say it suits me quite well. It turns out my fiancé is a traditional sort, preferring that we dress regularly in traditional German costume (a.k.a. Trachten). But he's not too traditional; so far my only duties as his future wife are to study German and meditate every morning.
Exactly one year from the first day we saw each other we took our official engagement photo (below). The blessed event will be held on the 12th of June in Germany and guests are requested to dress in traditional costume.

9th May, 2010Tomorrow I'm on my way back to LA, California, USA, assuming the dust cloud behaves itself. I'm looking forward to seeing my Amerikaner friends and family for one last hurrah before my new incarnation as a wife begins...

Late amendment: I forgot to mention the
first blessed event, which takes place on 21 and 22 May in California... the
second blessed event is 12 June. Please excuse the confusion... apparently all these time zone changes are going to my head.
